Invencmax 3.0
I had a lot of fun last weekend. It was great to be part of UTM Invencmax 3.0 last weekend at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, UTM. It was indeed a well-organised event with fantastic participants. The diverse range of projects on display was truly inspiring.
I was blown away by the fantastic ideas that were presented to us. Kudos to all the participants for their sheer brilliance in working with limited resources (some had zero cost!). Some self-taught themselves to code. The technology represented ranged from AI vision tech, data analytics, and IoT. I admire the students for doing in-depth research on industries that they are not familiar with and working tirelessly on their problem statement. The latter was what mattered most.
A big shoutout to the UTM Invencmax 3.0 winners for their outstanding achievements. The winners are from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the University of Southampton Malaysia. The organisers, lecturers/mentors, and participants who worked tirelessly to make this event a grand success. Your hard work truly paid off.
I am truly moved by the noble problem statement in pursuing to solve elderly care issues for Alzheimer patients, child malnutrition, and the environment, among others. The overall participants also looked balanced and diverse, with a good mix of genders. Notably, I was encouraged to see this. Technology should always be inclusive, sustainable, and compassionate.
One of the best parts of the event was getting to know my fellow judges. Major props to the organisers for bringing together such a fantastic mix of expertise and experiences from diverse backgrounds.
