I had the honour of serving as a jury panelist at the 4th Innovation Bank Challenge 2024 (IBC 2024), organized by the Research and Innovation Management Centre (RIMC) at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Held on October 22, 2024, at the impressive Dewan Tuanku Canselor, the event was a testament to the brilliant, forward-thinking projects being developed by the students and researchers of USIM via RMIC.

The IBC 2024 offered a dynamic platform for students and researchers to showcase innovative ideas across various fields, with a focus on practical applications and impact on real-world challenges. This challenge was not just a competition but a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and ingenuity. It provided participants with an opportunity to present their ideas to an expert panel, connect with industry professionals, and gain valuable insights for future development.

My Experience as a Jury Panelist at USIM Innovation Bank Challenge 2024

As a member of the jury, it was inspiring to witness the variety of projects presented, each bringing a unique perspective and aiming to address critical issues within their respective fields. The judging process was rigorous, with each project evaluated on several criteria, including originality, feasibility, impact, and scalability. Every project left a lasting impression, reflecting the dedication of USIM’s talented community on impactful research.

One of the most exciting aspects of my role was engaging with the participants, learning about their motivations and methodologies, and offering feedback that I hope will help refine and further their innovations. The ideas presented showcased not only technical expertise but also a deep commitment to societal betterment, aligning with Infinity Wave‘s mission to drive efficiency and sustainability through innovation.

Conclusion

I am grateful to the RIMC and USIM for this opportunity and applaud their commitment to fostering a culture of innovation. It was an inspiring experience to be part of this journey and to witness the potential that these innovators hold for the future.

As we continue to prioritize sustainable solutions at Infinity Wave, events like IBC 2024 reinforce the importance of nurturing young talent and supporting pioneering research to create a brighter, more innovative future for all.

One of the research project that I judged, went on to win Gold and special achievement awards. Congratulations Dr. Norshazila binti Shahidan. She lead the research in safeguarding the halal standard for aquaculture.
