Excited and thankful to share that my research has been published in the University of Malaya Journal of Construction, Surveying, and Property. The research discussed key technologies for the facilities management industry in Malaysia.

Have we made significant strides in the adoption of technology in FM in Malaysia? It’s fascinating to see how some hurdles persist among industry practitioners. Scholars projected that costs would fall over time, making technology more accessible. Despite using legacy and traditional technologies, practitioners need to do more work to overcome other barriers. Consequently, few practitioners have adopted new technologies.

I am optimistic about the potential for growth in the industry. The research sheds light on the current state of technology adoption among facility managers and provides some insights into targeted strategies to enhance adoption rates and drive innovation within the industry. The next step is to identify the key technologies for Malaysia facilities management industry and design a framework for adoption.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved with the research and the participants who contributed to this study. Your support has been instrumental in bringing this research to fruition. Thank you to my co-author and research supervisor, Prof. Sr Ts Dr. Syahrul Nizam Kamaruzzaman, and Journal editor, Dr. Nik Elyna Myeda for the assistance and guidance.
